Concern : Server error on confirmation statement
Cause : USer Ryan Sapp from UHC has updated SSN for few beneficiaries as "^" which is throwing while masking SSN on confirmation statement.
We are checking on this scenario to reproduce this and fix this.
Correction : There are 17 such employees whose beneficiary data needs to be corrected . Please let us know if we can go ahead with correction.
Also, we will fix the update issue on beneficiary.

Yes – please update this record. I would like to understand however why a SSN update would result in the below. Can you scan this Client as they did have 96 records touched to correct SSNs for ACA resporting and I guess my concern now is that there is more impact than known as of current?

• Employee Beneficiary data is not considered in ACA reporting.
• Employee Dependent spouse and Dependent Child data is used for ACA reporting for their Date of birth and Social Security No. i.e ACA only reads the data present in the system.
• ACA reporting does not update any data related to Employee Beneficiary.

We have corrected data of all beneficiaries whose SSN was updated as "^".
Also verified confirmation statement of mentioned employee .It is not throwing error.

We have verified this on production but not able to reproduce the issue.I have added and edited the record ,showing proper values/data.
Please check this using both UI and import.

Verified this issue through import but it is not reproducible
1]Pass Character ^ at place of child SSN and import file.
2]File successfully imported.
3]completed workflow successfully.
4]also done change on enrollment and check confirmation statement

Not getting any server Error.

Verified this issue through UI by changing demographics data of employee, spouse and child and traversed self serve mode successfully.

Not getting any server error on confirmation statement.

Based on the comments from Developer and QA, SSN update with value "^" is not causing the error. The issue is not reproduced even after entering " ^ " in the SSN field.

Could you please confirm this is the cause of the error and update Jennifer Leugers accordingly?

Rashmita Dudhe has already tested it through import ( See comments dated 19Sep ) and again tested it today. She has not been able to reproduce this issue through import.

All - there is no way this can be resolved by just saying it isn't reproducible. Something caused the server error and you are saying we can't reproduce it?

Please re verify this issue through import.
As per Rashmita's comment,it is allowing "^" character and said it is non repoducible.

Also check for any other special character.

We have done data correction of attached employees. Now there is no any error on confirmation statement.
We are testing as possible as scenarios to reproduce this issue. We will get back to you with our testing status.

Meantime you can check that Server error on confirmation is fixed.

We have tried below scenarios to repro this issue but is is not reproducing and working as expected on our end.

1. Tested through UI - Removed Beneficiary SSN and tried to add ^ - It throws validation and can not add ^ in SSN.
2. Tested through Import.
3. Tested various scenarios by removing and adding SSN in various mode, Partner or Employee can not enter ^ in SSN,
4. Blank SSN can update but its not replace with ^
5. EE or Partner can not add ssn with XX - like masking.

Can you let me know if any additional scenarios needs to be add.
