Thanks.
Hi all - Saul Ibarra was hired 1.4.16; per the new hire rules, his benefits should begin on 3.1.16. When I do a QE for 2.1.16, it is showing him eligible for benefits. Could you please see if you can find out why the waiting period is not applying correctly? There are others rendering the same way.
Hi Jennifer Leugers,
Waiting period did not apply because,he is not satisfying any of the new hire /re hire rules.
As per implementation ,If any of the rules are not satisfying for the employee, then employee is eligible for benefits from date of hire.
Hello All - Karma
We have a strange situation with running their 1095C files, please see attachments.
I made several corrections, and ran the files. The file attached was ran on 1/27/2017.
Several Correction were made and another file was ran on 2/3/2017.
The file that was ran on 2/3/2017, took the corrections, but made the ones that were correct in the 1/27/2017 files incorrect, and these records were not updated.
The attached excel are the corrections that need to be included in the 1/27 file.
Karma 1095c Code correction Specifications 2.8.17.xls Karma screen shot for JIRA.docx
We have verified run on 2/3/2017. In this run all corrections are got reflected correctly.
After doing correction it will get reflected in latest RUN . It will not get reflected in any previous RUN.
Please refer latest run after code correction for verification.
Let us know if you need any additional information.
Thanks,
Smita

2/9 - Karma
On 1095C run dated 1/27, Janet Joo record was never updated/corrected.
On 1095C run dated 2/3 her 1095C codes changed.
This person
Janet Joo – 1/27 file is correct. Record was NOT updated. 2/3 file is incorrect
1/27 - CORRECT
01-09 1H/2A
10 1H/2D
11 1A/2H
12 1A/2C
2/3 - INCORRECT
01-09 1H/2A
10-11 1H/2D
12 1A/2C
Here are more that should have not changed (like Janet Joo). Karma 1095c File 1 Code correction Specifications kv combined 2.8.17.xls
Bryan Tilford 560926579
Heber Arturo Chavez Ferrusca 675478042
Angel David Lopez Vadillo 736540117
Aruni Basu 819998615
Alain Somphone 530623375
I think the best approach at this time is to have file 1/27 (original file) and upload the correction excel (attached), and it will have the corrections that were to be made.
We have observed that the employee - Janet Joo is actually having correct codes in run 2/3/2017
01-09 1H/2A
10 1H/2D
11 1A/2H
12 1A/2C
Also, the other employees (Bryan Tilford, Heber Arturo Chavez Ferrusca , Angel David Lopez Vadillo , Aruni Basu , Alain Somphone) are actually having correct codes in run 2/3/2017
We have loaded the corrections for the excel sheet you have provided and re-run the report. Please refer the latest run. ( 2/10/2017 12:55:16 AM )
Please note some of the employees such as -
AMBER TERESI 560959624
deborah Santo Spirito 568414365
Roozbeh Hamidzad Sangachin 826627987
Jose Antonio Hernandez 603280703
in provided excel sheet for certain months have line 14 blank. According to IRS gov Line 14 should not be blank.
Bruce Casbar - have provided line 16 as blank in excel for month june but it has 1A 2C which is valid as per IRS.
Karma - the forms are still incorrect. Perhaps a call tomorrow morning with me will help in understanding the problem.
I will be here at 7:30am. I have downloaded the latest forms/analysis.
The system is setup on as 30 days waiting period:
The client said, that anyone hired 5/2 (Monday) - wait 30 days, they are eligible for benefit 6/1.
if someone is hired 5/3 (Tuesday), then eligible benefits 7/1.
Anyone hired on 8/1 wait 30 days, they are eligible for benefits on 9/1.
If they are hired on 8/2 wait 30 days they are eligible for benefits on 9/1.
If they are hired on 8/3, wait 30 days they are eligible for benefits on 10/1.
1. File 1/27/2017 was the original file sent to the Client.
2. Client reviewed and had corrections.
3. I applied many corrections and somehow on the file dated 2/3/2017, the employee's records that were never updated/touched, have incorrect codes (Bryan Tilford, Janet Joo).
For example (again) -
Bryan Tilford like all the others that were never touch.
Hired: 8/15/2016
Hire/Rehire = 30 days (1st of the month following 30 days).
So, if hired on 8/15, benefits start on 10/1/2016.
His form in file 2/3 has 1A/2H for Sept this is incorrect.
In file 1/27 this is correct and is 1H/2D in Sept.
That is why I needed you to reload 1/27 file and then upload the corrections to the 1/27 file. Then I can verify that the records.
Brian Tilford's form should be coded as it was in 1/27/17: Tilford_Bryan_965 1.27.17.pdf
Jan – Jul 1H/2A
Aug –Sept 1H/2D - waiting period 30 days at the 1st of the next month.
Oct-Dec 1A/2C
This is why I'm asking that you reload 1/27 file and I will re-do all the corrections again (about 150 corrections).
Another form is Janet Joo (see attached from file 1.27.17)
Janet Joo's
Hired 10/17/2016
Wait 30 days - eligible for benefits 12/1/016 Joo_Janet_1013 1.27.2017 file.pdf
Her form should be as it was in 1/27/17.
Jan-Sep - 1H/2A
Oct- 1H/2D
Nov - 1H/2D - Currently Nov has 1A/2H should be 1H/2D
Dec - 1A/2C
Jennifer Leugers Kristi Smith
Janet Joo
Bryan Tilford
Heber Arturo Chavez Ferrusca
Angel David Lopez Vadillo
Aruni Basu
Alain Somphone
The above employee codes have been changed because of the New Hire - Rehire rule has been changed after 1/27 Run
Due to this the above employees which were eligible earlier are not eligible under current New Hire - Rehire rule.
As the employees are not satisfying any New Hire - Rehire rule hence they are eligible for benefits from date of hire.
Please follow below steps to get correct codes -
1) Navigate to Company Information >> New Hire - Rehire Date Rule Tab.
2) Select 'NewHire-Rehire 2/2/16 and after' rule.
3) Change the Generic Eligibility Rule to 'Rule_26'.
4) Save the Customization.
5) Navigate to ACA >> IRS Report and Re-Run 1095C Report.
After file download, you can see employee Janet Joo pdf having codes -
Jan-Sep - 1H/2A
Oct- Nov - 1H/2D
Dec - 1A/2C
Similarlly other employees will be reflected.
We have tested this on HSPL company.
Please let us know if you face any issue
For Karma -
A copy the production database will need to be added, and run the forms from there.
Because the Client needs to have the information from 1/27 and apply the corrections to the 1/27 settings, this is the best approach to get the Client the correct ACA forms they want. Attached are the corrections for the 1/27 run. 2.8.17 Karma 1095c File 1 Code correction Specifications kv combined.xls
We added a new NewHire - Rehire Date Rule and Re-run the report with the codes correction file provided by you. By doing this the codes are now showing as per 1/27 run including the corrections.
Please note that we have deleted the New Hire - Rehire Date Rule that we added. Please DO NOT re-run the report as this will cause change in codes again.
Please refer latest run - 2/15/2017 4:11:31 AM
Let us know if you have any query.
Please apply these corrections to the file you ran as per 1/27 - the same as you did yesterday. Some of the corrections had line 16 blank, and it had a code. Attached are those corrections. 2.15.2017 Karma 1095c Code correction blank line.xls
Thank you, we are almost there.
Cathy
We have imported the codes correction file 2.15.2017 Karma 1095c Code correction blank line.xls and Re-run the report.
Please refer latest run - 2/15/2017 9:45:51 PM
