      Description

Open enrollment starts 12/5, therefore the importance for the Client is critical.

Client is asking the following questions included is the attached reports.

Attached are the two reports we spoke about in our conference call. I’m trying to figure out if either of these reports tell me which extra board or part employee is eligible for health benefits next year.

      1. On the first attachment it shows some employees with average monthly hours of 173.82 or 347.66. What does this report mean?
      2. The attachment report reflects FTE hours. Is this the report I use to determine eligibility for part time/extra board employees?
      3. Does either report show me the average hours worked per month for the calendar year 2016?
      4. Are the average hours calculated on the basis of a 12 month period, even if the employee worked less than a 12-month period (e.g. new hire who worked 5 months in 2016)?

Sorry for all the questions, but I need to determine eligibility for this group before Open Enrollment so I can contact the employees.

          Hi Cathleen Harrington

As per analysis, Time and attendance data is not loaded in the system properly, can you please provide the complete 2016 time import files so we will import and let you know the average working hours for weekly and monthly for complete year 2016.

Note : Only 322 employees time sheet data is loaded in to the system so system is referring data from employee demographic page.

THe client sends only hours for part time and extra board class to determine if they are eligible for benefits. Is that the 336 people you are referring to? They believe there are only about 5 people that may be eligible in 2017.

          Hi Kristi Smith

We have processed all the data loaded into the system. There is no any employees present whose weekly average is greater then 24 hours.
So we have not found a single employee whose is eligible for 2017 stability period for benefits.

          Thanks

Nandkumar Prabhakar Karlekar Thank you for the information. What does the client need to send so the reporting is correct? Were they wrong information or is it correct and the reporting is reflecting that way. I don't know how to answer their questions below.

          Hi Monika Demla, Cathleen Harrington

We have loaded all provided time sheet on HSPL copy of Mesquite gaming company.
Total employee in company are 1981 but time sheet is provided only for 306 employees.
So as per time sheet none of the employees are eligible for 2017 stability period for benefits.

Below are the answers for your queries.
For point 1 and 2 below is the answer :
Some Employees shown with average monthly hours as 173.82 or 347.66 are those employees who do not have timesheet or are new hire employee who are in thier inital measurement period. As per their employee type and Number of worked hours set on Demographics,173.82 or 347.66 values are calculated.

EE's whose worked hours per week is not set but employee type is set to full time or not set ,then such EE's average monthly hours is set as 173.82.

EE's whose worked hours per week is not set but employee type is set to part time ,then such EE's average monthly hours is set as 86.91.

EE's whose worked hours per week is set then such EE's average monthly hours is calculated as (WorkedHrsPerWeek/7.0)*30.42
So EE's whose worked hours per week is set to 80 ,their average monthly hours is 347.66.

For point 3 and 4 below is the answer
Average hours is calculated as per interval set on measurement and stability period.
eg: if employee time sheet is present for the whole year and if measurement and stability interval is set as 3 months, then Average hours is calculated in the interval of 3 of the months. i.e 1/1/2016 -3/31/2016 ,4/1/2016-6/30/2016,7/1/2016-9/30/2016,10/1/2016-12/31/2016
In case of New Hire employee,we consider employee type and Number of worked hours set on Demographic for their initial measurement period.

          Thanks,
          Sachin Hingole
