Epic Name:End User Communication Preferences
Overview:
Ability to handle communication related preferences for the end users in regards to emails, text messages, and push notifications.
User Stories
1. As an end user, I want to be able to go to a preference center to manage my communication preferences so that I am only getting communication I would like / am interested in.
2. As an end user, I want to be able to opt in / opt out (unsubscribe) of receiving mass email communications from a company.
3. As an end user, I want to be able to opt in / out of receiving messages by text from a company.
4. As an end user, I am able to turn on push notifications.
5. As an end user, I want to be able to change my preferences via the preference center at any point.
6. As an end user, I am able to set up my preferences when registering with the DMS.
7. As an end user, I am able to select language preference in the in the preference center so that I am able to receive communication in preferred language.
Entry Criteria:
1. The user is within a type of message or in preference center.
2. User opts in or unsubscribes from communication or updates preferences.
Exit Criteria:
- The user saves and exits.
Acceptance Criteria:
- IF an end user has opted into receiving mass emails, he/she will receive any email in which they are selected to receive a mass email.
- IF an end user has opted out of receiving mass emails from a company, he/she will NOT receive any email if a mass email goes out, even if they are selected.
- IF I am an end user, I can unsubscribe to mass mailings at any time.
- IF an end user has opted into receiving text messages from a company, he/she will receive text messages sent to them, and can respond.
- IF an end user has opted out of receiving text messages from a company, users will not have an option to send this end user a text message.
- IF I am an end user and using an app, I am able to turn on push notifications.
- IF I am registering with the DMS, I am able to set up preferences for communication via preference center.
- IF I am a registered user of the DMS, I am able to go to the preference center when logged in to update my preferences.
- IF I am updating my preferences in the preferences center I am update the following: email, text, push, and language preferences.
