DMS - Fall Sprint 6, DMS - Gap Fall & Win Sprint 3
Description
Overview:
In the event that an approver cannot complete their task, as an approver with access, I would like to be able to skip an approver in the workflow so that it does not delay the process.
Entry Criteria:
The user navigates to document in the approval process.
Acceptance Criteria:
If the user navigates to the document in the approval process, the user has the ability to skip the approver in which the document is waiting.
If the user skips the approver in the process, the document will be routed to the next approver in workflow.
If the user skips an approver, the action is tracked historically so that the system knows who skipped and when.
During the approval configuration flow (DMS-43 and DMS-47) can specify a time/duration in which that it automatically moves to the next approver after so many days in a reviewers queue.
Exit Criteria:
User hits 'Skip' and document moves to the next approver in workflow.

Reviewed these requirements and we need this functionality with Offer Letter for Fall release.
Adding for UX to provide any visuals that are needed as there has to be a chain of approval and rejections for offer letters.

Hi Robert Malony : We need clarity on this ticket like how a user can skip the approvers as we are not giving access of skipping or resending the mail to end user.

It's not so much around giving the End User the ability to Skip or Resend an email/document, but adding that in the Approval Process configuration part around timing of when automatic skip happens.
The other part about this requirement is that the person that creates the document and sets the Approval Process can go in a view the status of a Document and manually skip an Approver if they deem it. I imagine that would happen from an Admin screen that tracks documents.
