      Description

      Hi All -

When working with SA rates, we are not able to search for an employee's record without selecting a plan. This allows for us to see if their are incorrect rates tied to an election or plan.

Is there a way to change it back to the way it was working?

          Hi Jennifer Johnson,
As of now Rate filed is Mandatory for Rates recalculation. If any rate need to recalculate then it must be select.

Let me know if you need to remove this field as mandatory.

          Thanks,
          Hrishikesh Deshpande.

          Hi Jennifer Johnson,

We can not remove mandatory on Rates because if we do so, system will recalculate all the rates mapped to all plans, if anyone mistakenly clicked on recalculate button which will have huge impact on rates.

It would be better to remove mandatory on Plan Design so that one can view rates of employee of multiples plans mapped to single rate and recalculate in bulk.

Please let us shall we go ahead with removing mandatory on Plan Design.

Jyoti Mayne One of the main issues we face is being able to see if multiple rates are being pulled for an employee. The only way for us to check this is by searching for the employee in SA without a Rate attached. There should only be a few of us that have access to SA and should understand how to use it accordingly.

I would need to know what rates are mapped to plans and not the plans that are mapped to rates. I can get that from the mapping.

Is there a way to allow for the search option without a reclac? This will become a bigger issue during OE testing when we are trying to check eligibility.

Please talk with Dave on this - Maybe we need to limit who has access to reclac rates if this has been an issue in the past.

          Hi Jennifer Johnson,

We had discussion with Dave and come up with following solutions:

Remove mandatory on rate and plan design.

          • We can search one employee's all rate records without selecting plan and rate or multiple employees records.
          • While recalculating rates, system will check if rate and plan is not selected then it will not recalculate rate and show validation message as 'Please Select rate'. System will recalculate one rate at a time.

But we have following new approach which will do all the things that required:
We will add new control to rate and plans for check boxes with drop down list where we can do all above functionality at one place.

          • We can recal one/all/multiple rates at a time
          • We can view all/one/mutiple rate record for single/mutiple employee

We will go with check boxes with drop down list approach. We will analyzed this and share details with you.
