Hi all -
I submitted my first files for this year to the IRS and have results back from Austin. I'm a bit confused on what I need to send to the client on what are actually errors. I loaded the ACK file for Bridge & Road under Austin into the site and the file that was produced has four tabs.
The first tab (ACA IRS Error Analysis Report) shows under Required Action that the "Form 1095B 'BusinessName' and 'EIN' within 'IssuerInfoGrp' must match the IRS database. ( Issue Category -Incorrect Data )" but that is confusing to me as I would have expected the whole file to err out if there was a mismatch with the EIN name / #. Could you please assist in letting me know what on this tab (if any) needs to go to the client?
The second tab (ACA 1095C Discrepancy Report) is the same that was on the Analysis when we ran the forms so I'm good there.
The third tab (ACA 1095C Discrepancy Report (2) ) tab is empty. Is this just incase there are more data issues that can't be shown on the second tab?
The fourth tab (ACA TIN validation error report) is showing 779 records but I do not know what the issue could be on these records.
If you could let me know, I would appreciate it.
Thanks,
Jen

Hi Jennifer Leugers,
Please find Harbinger's inline comments.

Harbinger Comment :
Last column 'Required action' on error analysis report of 'BRIDGE AND ROAD AUSTIN' denotes the probable action required to be taken depending on IRS Error Code. As we have submitted 1094/95-C forms, any required action related to 1095-B report is irrelevant. When we download Error analysis report, we observed that all errors are related to TIN validation errors.
Please refer required actions for 1095-C report. There is no any error related 1094-C report and EIN mismatch errors.
The second tab (ACA 1095C Discrepancy Report) is the same that was on the Analysis when we ran the forms so I'm good there.
Harbinger Comment: NA
The third tab (ACA 1095C Discrepancy Report (2) ) tab is empty. Is this just in case there are more data issues that can't be shown on the second tab?
Harbinger Comment :
Third tab denotes all errors related to Manifest file. As there is no error in Manifest xml file, report is showing 'No Records Found for Manifest Discrepancy Report'.
PFA screen shot for additional information
The fourth tab (ACA TIN validation error report) is showing 779 records but I do not know what the issue could be on these records.
Harbinger comment:
This tab displays demographics data of covered individual such as Spouse and dependents with their Enrollment changes with employees who has TIN validation errors. Need to correct validation errors for covered individuals also. So number of records is more i.e 779.
We can change corresponding data in Workterrra and Rerun 1095-C report for Corrected employees and submit Corrected Submission.
If you could let me know, I would appreciate it.
Let us know, if you need any additional information
Thanks!
So it is an accurate statement that the only thing that needs to be corrected are listed in the second tab? Is that the only tab that needs to go to the client?
Hi Jennifer Leugers,
Please check our inline comments
So it is an accurate statement that the only thing that needs to be corrected are listed in the second tab?
Is that the only tab that needs to go to the client?
*Harbinger comment: *Yes, We need to correct records listed in second tab.
Harbinger comment for Bussiness Rule '1095C-010-01' & 'Shared-008'
We have gone through xml error code for Bussiness Rule '1095C-010-01' & 'Shared-008' is AIRTN500.
According to IRS guidelines for employees having TIN validation error ----
In this case, the Policy Holder should verify the Name and SSN of each person on the record.
PFA screen shot for additional information.
Please refer a link if required https://www.irs.gov/pub/info_return/AIR_May_24_2016_Webinar_Presentatiion.pdf
for error code as AIRTN500
Let us know if you need any additional information.
Thanks!
All - sorry but I'm confused. All of the files for Austin were "Accepted with Errors" by the IRS. You've confirmed above that the only tab that needs to go to the client to fix is the second tab (ACA 1095C Discrepancy Report). But on the EIN for Industrial Services, that tab does not exist yet it was also "Accepted with Errors" by the IRS. Could you please look into this? I'm not sure what we need to send to the client as their "actual" errors. Also in my original comments about Bridge & Road, there are a lot more individuals listed on the first tab then the second tab but you stated above to only send the second tab. I just need to really verify that information as it doesn't make sense to me.
Hi revan,
Could you please look into same.
Thanks,
Smita
I hope your doubts are cleared in our discussion which will help you to resolve the queries.
Thanks,
Revan
Hi Jennifer Leugers,
To resolve this problem, please send 'ACA TIN Validation Error Report' also to client.
These TIN validation errors needs to get corrected not only for employees but also for his dependents.
This issue is due to data mismatch of Last name, First name, Middle initials or SSN in IRS database. As these errors are present in submission you are receiving submission status as 'Accepted with Error'.
This is just our suggestion. ask client to double check the information and if Client still believes there is no error, have his employees contact IRS customer service who can direct them properly.
Note: Please send Tab-2 'ACA 1095C Discrepancy Report' if errors are present in report and Tab -4 'ACA TIN Validation Error Report' to client.
If you need still more clarification we can schedule a call. Let us know, your convenient time for call.
Thanks,
Smita
