Steps:

Add QE > Add mandatory fields > Use Event Date Rule > Use waiting period

Waiting period Option > First month  following XX month 

Days or months > 2 > Save

Now, Open the QE again > Make changes in other fields > Save

Open QE again > the days/ months fields is updated with 0.

The locked / disabled fields get auto populated with 0.

Due, to this QE may not be get available for employee.
