Could you please let us know what exactly the issue is:
1. Is it because * is appearing?
2. Is it because, though * is appearing without selecting employee status report can be saved?

Also, did not get following:
"This issue is existed for Stage environment as well, Please verify at your end."

Have you checked actual working on Stage / Production environment with Old UI?
It will be helpful if appropriate screen shot is attached for Stage issue.

Below are the 3C's:
Concern:-
Validation message is not displaying for classes & status column , & report is getting saved ,without selecting classes.

Cause:-
Validation for Employee Classes was not handled.

Correction:-
Added a function block to validate Employee Classes.

Verified This issue For LB , Validation message is given for last classes & status column
Working as expected.
