      Description

      Hello Dev Team

Employee (CODY HENSLEY) moving from UNION to STAFF under OE Event "Union to Non-Union". I changed the QE rule to read "waiting period "first of the month following event date", However the Confirmation Statement is showing effective date of change

Can you help determine why this is happening

          Hi Swapnil Pandhare,

          Customization:

          Screen Event Name Rule
Event Builder Union to Non-Union NA
Qualifying Event screen Union to Non-Union

          Analysis:

          • This event was raised on '10/09/2017', and as per rule set on this event effective date should be 11/01/2017.
          • And elections of reported EE (CODY HENSLEY) also have same effective date.

          Observations:

          • We have observed that, in RaisedQualifyingEvent table value of Effective Date column goes NULL. PFA below
          • As Effective date goes NULL, EE got elections with event date i.e;10/09/2017

Can you please look into this issue, why effective date goes NULL?

Note: We have also added new EE on HSPL to reproduce this issue with union class & then change his class from Union to Staff but event cannot be raised.

          Thanks,
          Shailendra Honrao

          Hi Shailendra Honrao,

We do not refer effective date column of RaisedQualifyingEvent table. That is added by ACA team.
If employee raises QE then effective date will be calculated as per rule and It is working fine.

If we change employee class then as per event builder setting, selected QE will be raised automatically. And elections will be updated by status change date.

          Hi Hrishikesh Deshpande,

Please refer comment of Sheetal Bodhale.

          As per this comment,

          • If we raise normal QE then elections will get with effective date rule set on raised QE.
          • We have event builder setting and if we change EE class then elections will get with status change date not with effective date rule set on QE.

          Please verify this.

          Thanks,

          Hi darryn.carter,

          Environment: Production
          Company: Long for Hspl
          Login: partner and Employee

          Event Builder Union to Non-Union
When Class change is done using Event builder
In this case, the effective date is considered as the date of Event change, it ignores QE rule. This functionality is working as expected.

          QE Union to Non-Union
When Class change is done using QE
In this case, the effective date should be as per QE rule. Currently, we have found some discrepancy in this so created jira with ID: WT-11776.

For the scenario mentioned in this support task, it should ignore QE Rule and consider the Effective date as per teh Event change date.
