Hi,
Per BCC: I am having trouble getting an Event Builder to work correctly and are hoping you can assist me. I have created the QE Termed to Retiree Status. I need a corresponding Event Builder so that when the QE is initiated an e-mail is automatically sent to the retiree. When I create the Event Builder the QE then disappears from my QE list within an Employee’s record. This is happening in STAGE when I am logged in as myself.
For the time being I deleted the Event Builder so I could test and create an instruction sheet for this QE, but I have taken print screens of what was built so you can see what I did.
Please let me know if you need any additional information.
Thank you,
Kira Hamilton

Hi,
Per BCC:
I have built out the Event Builder in the LIVE system to try and test if I get an e-mail notifying me that a QE had been raised. Please see my results/notes below.
1. Built Event Builder as shown in attached screen shots
2. Turned on e-mail notification on System Settings tab of the Company Information
3. Enabled EventBuilder Qualifying Event Notification e-mail in E-mail Message Format
4. Added a test person TEST TEST with hire date of 1/1/18
a. made sure to enter my e-mail address in the Employee’s e-mail address field and turned on the flag to receive e-mail notifications
5. Changed the status of my newly added test person from Active to Terminated effective 1/1/18
6. Then changed the status of the same test person from Terminated to Retired effective 2/1/18
7. I never received the EventBuilder Qualifying Event Notification e-mail
8. When I logged in as my test person I was immediately taken into a QE tunnel. When I got to the Demographic page, the receive e-mail flag was set to ‘No’ even though when I added my test person this flag was set to ‘Yes’
9. I have removed my test person and changed the e-mail flags back to No and disabled since this is the LIVE system
Could you please have Development review and see if there is something built incorrectly? Perhaps there is an issue with the receive e-mail flag on the Add Employee page and it does not connect to the receive e-mail flag on the Demographics page? I have reviewed both the Add Employee and Demographic Information Form Builder pages and all seems to look fine to me.
Thank you,
Kira Hamilton

Please look into this
Hi Kira Hamilton,
We discussed this issue with team,
As of now this customization only works on Production. For Stage environemnt all the outgoing mails are stored in pick up folder on the Server side and is not delivered to any recipient.
The Scenario mentioned above will work correctly on Production environment.
Plese let us know for any issues.
Thank you,

I think that the issue is that this event builder is initiated when an employee is moved from Terminated status to Retired status. Could the email be getting blocked because the employee is in terminated status?
It is my understanding that terminated status is blocked from getting emails.
Hi Debbie Kulling,
Irrespective of whether the flag is 'on' or 'off' on Demographics page of an EE, emails are not sent from the stage server to any EE. We store all the outgoing mails in the pick up folder for Stage Environment.
Outgoing mails functionality works only on Production Environment.
For your another point regarding terminated status of an EE. The 'Receive Email' flag is turned off when EE status is changed to 'Terminated'.
Please let us know for any issues.
Thank you,

Prasad this testing is being done on PRODUCTION and the emails are not going out. Please see my questions below
If the send email flag is switched to "no" when and employee is terminated when an employee is then changed from Terminated back to Retired is that email flag switched back to "yes".
If the answer is Yes why is the QE email notification not being sent
If the answer is NO is there anything that can be done to workaround this issue so that employees are email when their status is changed from Terminated to Retired
Hi Debbie Kulling,
When EE status is changed from 'Terminated' to 'Retired', the receive email flag on EE demographics doesn't change to 'yes'.
This functionality is not implemented in to system.
However, there is a workaround which can send emails to the EEs for whom the QE 'Termed to Retired' is raised.
Please follow the steps below.
1. On EE Demographics set the 'Receive Email' flag to 'Yes'
2. Go to Event Builder.
3. Choose the event builder 'Termed to Retiree Status'.
4. Set the flag 'Send Email Notifications Automatically' to 'No'.
(Please refer the screen shot below)
5. Now, in Employer Administration, select 'Event Notification'
(Please refer the screen shot below)
6. Select the QE from the list. Tick the employee from the list to whom the mail is to be sent.
(Please refer the screen shot below)
7. Draft the mail.
(Please refer the screen shot below)
8. Send the mail.
Please let us know for any issues.
Thank you,

Hi,
Per BCC:
I have tested the below, and it works, but has a couple of issues.
1. Of most importance, I received the e-mail, but it listed the system URL as workterra.net. Please see attached e-mail. This will need to be changed to benxcel.net ASAP.
2. Is the Event Notification something the HR Admin Team from the group will have access to?
a. When I tried to perform the steps listed below an HR Admin the ‘Event Notification’ was not listed under Employer Administration.
3. After receipt of the e-mail, I went back in to check the demographics page of the test person, the E-mail Notification Flag had been flipped back to ‘No’ again.
a. Does the E-mail flag get automatically set to ‘No’ for retirees as well as Terminated employees?
b. Why would it not maintain the ‘Yes’ I just flipped it to?
Please advise regarding the below.
Thank you,
Kira Hamilton

HI Kira Hamilton & Debbie Kulling
We have replaced systemurl with benxcel.net on SLO for given template.
Also, we have scanned other bcc companies also for SystemURL placeholder. PFA list on which systemurl is present. Emailformat_systemurl.xlsx Can you please get those corrected from website ?
Also, the sheet mentions some of BCC companies have used benxcel.net instead of SystemURL.
Another white label client UHC also uses uhc.workterra.net instead of SystemURL placeholder in email templates. It is configurable from workterra website .
Thanks,
Swapnil P.
Hi Kira Hamilton,
Below are observations on your issues.
Point 2:
The Company Admin has 'Default Company Admin Policy'.
This policy has access to 'Event Notification' Menu under Employer Administration.
(Please refer the Screenshot Below)
Point 3:
We checked this scenario at our end. When mail was sent manually to EE through Event Notification the mail was delivered.
After that we checked the EE Demographics page. The Receive email flag was 'Yes'
However, before sending the mail manually, if we refresh the EE Demographics page, the flag gets flipped to 'No'.
We are working on this and will update you accordingly.
Thank you,

The issue mentioned in description testing is blocked due to jira WT-13231.
WT-13231 issue is occurred due to in New Hire/Re-Hire Rule's Eligibility status there are only 2-3 statuses selected. Except these 2-3 statuses if we used another statuses we'll get the NULL effective date and we'll get server error.
To remove blocking for this ticket I've set All Status Rule for New Hire/Re-Hire Rule. So, now you can test this ticket.
We'll analyse and look into this WT-13231 ticket.

Niteen S.

Hi Kira Hamilton
Event-builder raises QE automatically if employee's data is changed as per defined rule.
So if employee's status is changed from terminated to Retiree, it will automatically raise QE on employee's records, you don't have to raise it manually and QEs that are selected on any eventBulder cannot be seen on manual raise QE screen.
And as send email automatically is set to YES, it will send email to that employee, However you have to go to email message format and configure event builder's message
Also, make sure email message status is enabled. I believe you cannot test emails from stage and stage emails are redirected to specific people and those are not sent to employees. Let us know if you have any questions on this. Thanks.
