            FYI Rakesh Roy Deepali Tidke

            Hello Debbie Kulling,

Can you provide us the company name on Stage where you have created this payroll schedule and faced this error ? It might help us to look into the issue further.

            Hello Amnesh Goel,

As far as reproducing this issue is concern - I had put an issue related to custom payroll schedules in the system. This is an historic old issue which is not in JIRA - please look at below [the status is still open]

            http://trac:8888/trac/ticket/8689

            * add a payroll schedule of type custom and provide Custom PayCycle? as Zero - save
            * now enroll to a plan (say medical) with an employee has the above created payroll schedule
            * see the employee as well as employer costs on screens like enroll now, enroll now summary etc..
            * Actual Result : All costs shows as 'Infinity'

            refer image Infinity

When I tried reproducing this issue on one of the Stage company (FDU FOR HSPL) - it is getting reproduce when we make a custom payroll schedule without specifying the pay cycles (system by default takes it as zero) / or we put the pay cycle as Zero. Also after saving this page I am getting a Server Error -

Note - I did not get this issue when pay cycles were mentioned.

            Hi Alankar Chavan,

Details for the above issue are as follows:

            Concern:
When the custom payroll value is added with 0 paycycles, there is a server error on payroll schedule as well the cost values for the plans are displayed as Nan/Infinity.

            Cause:
0 should not have been allowed to be entered for custom pay cycles. Since the validation was not handled this issue occurred.

            Correction:
            We have added following validations:

            • Custom pay cycles cannot have 0
            • If Custom Payroll is selected the Custom Pay Cycle textbox should be mandatory.

Also a note is added stating that 'Custom Pay cycles cannot have 0 pay cycles.'

I have given the patch for the above issue on LB. Please verify once the patch is deployed on LB.

            Thanks.

            Hello Debbie Kulling,

Please have a look on actions done today after the morning call - 05/26/2016

            • As per the earlier discussion mentioned in JIRA, this issue was occurring because of system was allowing to keep Custom Pay Cycle as Blank / Zero for Custom Payroll Schedule type
            • With this patch deployed on Stage till now - we have restricted to keep this field as blank / zero for Custom payroll schedule type
            • Problem of still getting Infinity / NaN costs on City of Bellevue Stage - as the custom payroll schedule ' JDE Upload Schedule-Formerly Semi-monthly 2 ' had blank value for Pay Cycle. We have kept it as 25 now. The costs are correct - please refer the attached screen shot
            • Problem of getting wrong costs - the cause and correction for this is also same as the of the one mentioned in above step. This has been corrected now. Employee's as well as Employer's costs are according to the mapped rates now. Please refer the screen shot
            • For all remaining payroll schedules - we again retested the costs for all the available payroll schedules for this company. All are fine now. No Infinity / wrong costs values with any payroll schedule.
            • About the validation message appearing at Pay Periods - system has some discrepancy related to pay date & pay period star - end date. Meanwhile - please do let us know if the system validation is blocking you to make any changes in this. These changes we can make from back end
              * For other Custom payroll schedules has blank pay cycle values on Stage - Girija Potdar has scanned all the companies on Stage to find the affected companies with 0 or NULL custom pay cycles. We found - Amherst Central School District Company with the Payroll Schedule: Twenty Dates. Satya please do let us know the further correction we need to do in this.
