      Description

      Hi all -

      How is the 95% for line 23 calculated?

      For example, if I look at the Offshore 1095Cs, in the month of November I show six out of 115 employees with a 1H and either a 2B or 2D in line 16.

      I thought we didn't include 2B since they are not a full time employee so now I'm down to only four employees out of 115 which is less than 5%.

      January for the same group has 21 with the same scenarios yet #23 is checked yes or January.

      So I'm confused as to why they are checked as No for November.

      Could you please advise what is and what isn't counted?

      The client is questioning their Gulf population as well so need to be able to explain why they are Nos as well.

      Thanks,
      Jen

          I'm having the same questions from US Shale as well so if you could tell me how to first get the numbers that are in (b) and (c) and then also what to choose when calculating the 95% per month (i.e. only 1H / 2D or whatever), I can do the calculations and provide them to the clients going forward.

          Hi Jennifer Leugers,

          The counts for Part III column b and c can be calculated as explained below.
          Download data analysis report for Offshore 1095C report, apply filter for required month (in this case for November month)

          Part III column c
          Then apply filter on "Is Employed for whole Month" = YES, This will give the "(c) Total Employee Count for ALE Member" column. (Column c count for Offshore is 74)

          Part III Column b
          Now don't remove above two filters (Filter applied on month and for Is Employed for whole Month), and apply filter on "Line 16 Code not equal to 2D", This will give the "(b) Full-Time Employee Count for ALE Member". (column b count for offshore is 73)

          % Calculation for marking MEC
          Don't remove above applied filters, and apply filter on "Line 14 Code = 1A Or 1E Or 1C",
          It will give count of employees getting offer. (total employee getting offer are 69)

          Now % calculation will be as below

          Percentage = (% Calculation for marking MEC * 100)/Part III Column b
          Percentage = 69*100/73
          Percentage = 94.52

          Thanks,
          Sachin Hingole

          FYI Nandkumar Prabhakar Karlekar,Sachin Hingole

          This company had most of the corrections related to line 16 code to force code 2B.This caused the employee count to change and so MEC indicator was coming up as no.
          We have made changes to ignore 2B code in calculating Employee count.Now for all 12 months MEC indicator is coming up as Yes for all 3 1094C reports.
          Please download latest run (06/28/2016) and verify.
