Hi Jennifer Melgoza,
CC:Jennifer Leugers,Mahendra Mungase,Sachin Hingole,Nandkumar Prabhakar Karlekar
Common observations related to the issues mentioned in the files are :
1. Cost is calculated as 5% of the salary + the rate, EE cost is coming up different in the months where salary is changed.
2. FPL Amount for 2016 is $11880. So 9.5% of FPL amount will be approx $94.So EE cost less than $94 will have code 1A.
3.Employee who enrolled in the coverage under the plan for one or more calendar months of the year but was not an employee for any calendar month of the year, such as a non-employee director, a retired employee who retired in a previous year, a terminated employee receiving COBRA continuation coverage ( who terminated employment during a previous year, can get 1G code. If Form 1095-C is used with respect to an individual who was not an employee for any month of the calendar year, Part II must be completed by using code 1G in the “All 12 Months” box or the separate monthly boxes for all 12 calendar months.
In the second file, the employees retired in 2016 .So 1G cannot be displayed to them.EE's that are retired in previous year can receive 1G.
4. We are considering employee type in demographics for Employee's status(Full Time,Part time). The employees that are mentioned as part time in the first file have employee Type set to NULL or 1.We consider this as Full time. Please change the employee type in the demographics of the employees who are Part time.
5. Please change the eligibility rule and select classes/criteria for employees whose 1095C is to be furnished. You can eliminate the EE's whose PDF is not to be generated by adding additional criteria.
As per the system data, the codes received are correct.
Note :
For 2015 forms, this company had large number of corrections. We had corrected codes and costs through backend.
In case for 2016 also,if corrections are to be done,we have provided ACA 1095C Correction tab in ACA Customization.
Path: ACA -> ACA Customization -> ACA 1095C Correction tab.
Provide the SSN of the employee that you need to correct.Select year as 2016. Latest codes of the employee will be populated on the screen.Change the codes and Save.
Forms under IRS report need to be save and run with Apply user correction as Yes.
Hi Jennifer Leugers,
We have run "2016 1095C for Del Norte" report. Please refer latest run for verification.
