Steps to reproduce:
1]Import paycheck information.
2]View paycheck its showing proper value against Paycheck line item.
3]But when we import same file gain with same records -> Records are not updated. Instead of it it is adding duplicate records as many times as we import file again and again.

If we set Effective date as isUniique, the entry with same effective date for same lineitm is updated, no new entry is inserted.
We have set validation for the same. If Employee Paycheck Effective Date is not unique in sub template, Import is not processed.
Verified on LB environment Consider below scenarios.
1]If Effective date is not Selected as unique Then when importing File it is showing proper validation message.
2]If Effective date Is selected as unique and Import File the then Records imported successfully against Effective date given in file.
3]Verified for same effective date with Updated Paycheck Information
4]Verified for Different Effective date with Update Paycheck information.
all above scenarios are working fine.
Verified on Stage environment Consider below scenarios.
