Cigna had requested for supporting multiple benefit election in a single sso request for both Austin and Symphony.
Without this enhancement done, Cigna will not sign-off WT-5318 for production, as the existing workterra system enrollment structure (single user can enroll for single benefit in single request), is complex for them to approve the multiple EOI of same employee in different request.

Yes , the ETA provided are valid and achievable. Even we are planning to deploy this on 12/29/2016 to stage, so that if Cigna has any suggestions then we can achieve that before 1/6/2017 stage build release.
I am sure from 1/16/2017 this feature will be available to client without any issues.

Santosh
I will deploy this change on LB today. Following are the areas where QA Activity is required.
1)Enrollment through "Enroll Now" Screen.
2)Enrollment through "Employee WorkFlow"
3)Waive from Enrolled benefit
Please let me know in case of any queries.

Hi Chris Ellenberger and Tracy Kot,
We are in a good progress on this feature. I would like to demonstrate you the work we done till date, So that if you have any suggestions then we can include those in our implementation, the build is still at our local environment only. Once QA has confirmed that no other enrollment functionality is get affected due to this, we will promote it to Stage.
I will be available tomorrow (12/30/2016) and (01/02/2017) at 8 AM PST.
Please let me know your convenient time and share GTM.
Regards,
Santosh
I am available at that time, Chris Ellenberger does that work for you?
Hi Jennifer Leugers,
Could you please let me know for this new enhancement, who will co-ordinate with Symphony.
Thank you Tracy Kot , If you are available today 8 AM PST, then can we meet. If yes, please share GTM.
I will demonstrate for Symphony separately, as per their availability.
Regards,
Santosh
Hi Santosh Balid,
We have tested Enroll Now functionality on Stage and there is no any issue in it.
Thanks,
Hrishikesh.

Santosh Balid, I set up a call for Wednesday at 8:30 AM PST.
CC Chris Ellenberger optional invited Deborah Mascot and Cindy Wibbing
Thank you Tracy Kot, I will be available.
Attached email-communication for future reference.
Hi Tracy Kot, Chris Ellenberger and Deborah Mascot,
Could you please add all your suggestions here in jira. Also please go through this feature on stage, as it is already configured for Austin and Symphony on stage, and add if you have anything apart from we discussed in yesterdays call.
Regards,
Santosh
Deborah Mascot , I have activated this for Austin OE 2017 as well on Stage.
Hi Tracy Kot , Chris Ellenberger, and Deborah Mascot,
By considering that you don't have any suggestion apart from below mentioned suggestion discussed over last call, will include those before final release of this build.
1)Need to capitalize the word CIGNA in old(existing) as well as new popup.
2)In case of employee workflow , we need to handle this multiple-benefit request such way that employee should not get confused due to newly introduced popup messages.
As per suggestion by Samir, I will check how feasible it is to handle this on-behalf of employee on workflow finish event, instead of confusing employee with newly added popup.
Regards,
Santosh
I'm writing up the suggestions but going through stage once more to do so.
Hi Tracy Kot , Deborah Mascot and Chris Ellenberger,
From the above suggestions, the first suggestion is possible, and will deploy it on stage on 1/16.
For second suggestion, as you all suggested for employee convenience we will intimate employee before his last benefit enrollment, that now with this last benefit he needs to submit request for CIGNA.
Below is the solution , I will suggest at this point of time.
1)Before beginning the CIGNA plans we will convey employee about these new structural changes by introducing below screen before he starts enrolling for CIGNA benefits.
2)When last one CIGNA benefit will remain then will intimate employee about same with below additional screen.
I will configure above screens on stage environment as well for your reference and let you know once done.
We will push this feature on production on 1/16. Hope this is fine. In case of any concerns please let me know.
Though we will release this feature at this point of time, but still we will work on how we can give more comfort to employees and handle this at the finish of workflow. Once we got an appropriate solution for that, we will work on that in future.

Santosh
CIGNA SSO for EOI testing feedback.docx Here are the notes I have from our call. please see the attached notes. Santosh Balid Deborah Mascot Chris Ellenberger
Hi Tracy Kot , Deborah Mascot and Chris Ellenberger,
I have configured the above mentioned Employee Data Screens for Symphony on stage.
Below are the names of EDS.
1)CIGNA-EOI-Benefit-Start
2)CignaSpecificPlanInformation
Please have a look , modify it if you think so and let me know. I will configure the same for Austin on 1/16, along with release of this feature on stage and Production.
Regards,
Santosh
Hi Tracy Kot , Deborah Mascot and Chris Ellenberger,
Please schedule a call with required people form Austin and Symphony , we need to give them demonstration of this feature, before they start using it. Please share GTM.
Regards,
Santosh
Hi Tracy Kot,
Thanks for attaching this document. I would like to share my thoughts on the below your queries.
1)Replace the popup message with below message.
If you have enrolled in all benefits for life and disability that may require EOI you can click submit/OK. If you want to enroll in additional life and disability benefits that may require EOI click on Continue Enrolling/Cancel.
Ans: We can replace existing message with above , only if both Austin and Symphony will be having only* life and disability* plans for CIGNA EOI. otherwise we need to keep it generic. Please confirm
2)If the employee clicked on the Continue Enrolling/Cancel this box appears. Is there a way to NOT show this box?
Ans: Yes , we can. this was just an additional message to intimate employee which decision he has take. I will remove it.
3)About the Risk you mentioned
Ans: For this we will add some additional screens before and at the end of 2nd last CIGNA benefit , as described with images in above thread.
Regards,
Santosh
THANK YOU Very much. Let me quickly call Chris Ellenberger and Deborah Mascot right now to see if they can visit. I did get Austin's Feedback and I am drafting it right now to add to this TICKET.
PLEASE DO NOT deploy to Austin Industries PROD until client approves.. but give me just a few minutes and I can give you Austin Industries feedback.
Santosh Balid, I met with Austin Industries and I gave them a demonstration of the SSO feature. This is the client Austin Industries Feedback:
Client is very pleased and says we are moving in the right direction. They appreciate DEVs work.
Austin Industries Feedback: This process currently assumes the employees (in some cases construction worker) knows the benefits that are available to them, it assumes they know which benefits require EOI and it assumes they know which benefit would be at the end to know when to click on that ‘submit’ to get to the EOI screen. Employees will not KNOW this so they won't know how to answer the pop up boxes. Austin wants to wait and not move to production until the process can do the following:
Austin wants to hold off until:
WT to assume they say yes to want to continue then at the confirmation page (at the end) offer the SSO page if the employee has a benefit pending EOI? Client does like the pop up for each benefit pending EOI just to advise the employee to enroll through completion so that they can make sure EOI is submitted to CIGNA.
So for example it would be that the system would assume ‘cancel’ until the confirmation page and then allow the SSO page to appear.
CC: Chris Ellenberger and Deborah Mascot
Hi Tracy Kot,
Thank you so much for sharing this feedback. If understand correctly then below is the overall summary.
When employee will enroll through workflow then only in that case sso related popup need not show him/her , by default system will consider the behavior that if he had clicked on cancel button . I mean only will save all his enrollment details in Workterra side, but not submit to CIGNA(and this happens in a background and employee will not be aware about it .) But when he will be at the end of the workflow, before Confirmation page, we will need to show him/her a screen which will include summary of employee pending EOI benefits with "Submit" button once he clicks on "Submit" button , all his/her pending EOI benefits will get submitted to CIGNA and employee can directly reach to CIGNA portal through SSO and can proceed further as per existing flow
I will not say this is not possible, but this is challenging as per existing structure(we need to have different implementation of same process for workflow and without workflow.) As per my knowledge, currently we can not identify whether employee has enrolled through workflow or regular flow. Yes we can identify whether employee is enrolling through "Open Enrollment" or not. But that doesn't guarantee employee is enrolling through Workflow. So as a developer I need to analyze that first and then need to separate out process for enrollment in workflow and without workflow. This whole thing require good amount of time, I will not commit you the date today, but I think it should not go longer than 1/26 , I hope you do not have concern about it.
From your side , just give your confirmation on the implementation of suggestions we had discussed over call and same I shared yesterday.
Please let me know if you have any queries, that helps in quick decisions.
I appreciate your efforts to clarify all details.
Regards,
Santosh

Santosh Balid thank you for the notes above. Austin is ok with waiting until we can work through the needed items. They are aware that it won't be live in January. Let me know if you have any questions. Deborah Mascot
Thank you for feedback Tracy Kot !
Hi Santosh Balid,
I just received feedback on the current setup in stage for Symphony.
Note from Jackie @ UHC Onlinenroll:
If the pop up is needed after each election so be it but I think it would be much more user friendly if only on the last CIGNA benefit. I feel like everyone will just hit OK without reading the text. For example, I actually read the text and hit OK anyways. I feel like it will open up room for error.
Initial CIGNA SSO Message & popup – can the text be updated to read the following:
Message
Important Note: Beginning on the next page, you will be enrolling in benefits which may require EOI. In a scenario requiring EOI, CIGNA will provide you the facility to directly login to their portal through SSO. Please make sure that you read every confirmation popup carefully and make the appropriate decision. Your compliance with this will help to approve any CIGNA EOI benefits quickly as CIGNA is expecting you to submit all your enrolled benefits requiring EOI to them through the SSO in a single request. Below is a sample popup you will be seeing when you will enroll for CIGNA Benefit EOI.
Sample Initial popup
Have you completed your enrollment process in all desired CIGNA benefits? If so, click ‘OK’ to submit your enrollments to CIGNA for processing. If not, click ‘Cancel’ to continue to make changes or enroll in other benefits.
Secondary Popup that appears once hit cancel
You selected Cancel, please enroll in the balance of benefits before clicking ‘OK’ to submit to CIGNA for EOI processing.
Secondary CIGNA SSO Message & popup
Message
Important Note: The next page is your last benefit plan which may require EOI. If you would like to enroll, please click ‘OK’ to submit all of your enrollments to CIGNA for EOI processing. If you click on ‘Cancel’ none of your benefits get submitted to CIGNA for EOI processing. If you do not enroll in the last CIGNA benefit and you had not clicked on ‘OK’ with your last benefit election when asked to submit all your enrollments to CIGNA for processing EOI, you will need to take the following action: Go back to your last enrolled EOI benefit for CIGNA , waive that benefit and then re-enroll. Once this action is completed, make sure to click on ‘OK’ when asked to submit your enrollments to CIGNA for EOI processing.
Below is the sample popup on which you need to take appropriate decision.
Sample popup
Have you completed your enrollment in all benefits in which you would like to participate? Click ‘OK’ to submit your enrollments to CIGNA for processing. Click ‘Cancel’ if you would like to make changes or enroll in other benefits.
The other thing I noticed is when you select ‘OK’ the system clocks for a bit and then appears to get stuck and doesn’t allow the user to go back or forward in the flow therefore, they will never complete their enrollment experience. Let me know if I’m missing something or if you have questions on anything I submitted above.
Santosh Balid Please provide your feedback if what is being requested is possible and how long it will take to achieve. Thanks

Santosh: Yes , I am working on making this feature more user friendly. So as per the feedback received by Tracy Kot from Austin, Now as per new design, when employee will enroll through open enrollment workflow, at that time employee will not able to see any SSO related popup till end of all his/her enrollment. Employee can enroll into CIGNA EOI benefits in the similar way he/she do enrollment for other benefits for whom EOI is not required. When employee will finish all his enrollment, then at the end before confirmation page , we will add one more page which will list down all his/her CIGNA EOI benefits and once he/she clicks on Submit button over that page, he will get redirected to CIGNA through SSO, and proceed further. Here If employee feels like, he/she should waive some of the CIGNA benefits or change the applied coverage amount then he/she can do this for going backward to that particular benefits and after doing necessary changes he/she can come back and go for CIGNA SSO by clicking the Submit button on the page where all his/her CIGNA benefits are listed with updated changes.
Initial CIGNA SSO Message & popup – can the text be updated to read the following:

Sample Initial popup
Have you completed your enrollment process in all desired CIGNA benefits? If so, click ‘OK’ to submit your enrollments to CIGNA for processing. If not, click ‘Cancel’ to continue to make changes or enroll in other benefits.
Santosh: Please note, as per new design , if employee is doing enrollments through open enrollment workflow then as I described above this will not be visible to employee. But yes, as for admin user who is doing enrollments on-behalf of employee or employee itself who is doing enrollment out of workflow, this popup will get appear for them and I can change the popup message as you stated , but initially Tracy Kot was suggested the below popup message text.
If you have enrolled in all benefits for life and disability that may require EOI you can click submit/OK. If you want to enroll in additional life and disability benefits that may require EOI click on Continue Enrolling/Cancel
So please co-ordinate with Tracy Kot and let me know final popup message , as we can not make popup messages client specific.
Secondary Popup that appears once hit cancel
You selected Cancel, please enroll in the balance of benefits before clicking ‘OK’ to submit to CIGNA for EOI processing.
Santosh: Tracy Kot had suggested to remove this secondary popup, so please co-ordinate with Tracy Kot and let me know final version.

Hi Santosh Balid,
Please proceed with the changes that Tracy Kot provided. I will present this to Symphony once you relaease the latest changes.
My apologies, I was under the impression that the proposed fixes for Austin were going to be pushed out longer so i made an effort to get feedback from Symphony in case we could move separately for them.
Thanks,
Chris
Hello Tracy Kot and Chris Ellenberger,

Hi Tracy Kot and Chris Ellenberger,
Do you have any further updates on this.

Santosh
Cc: Samir, Satya, Rohan J Khandave
Hi Santosh Balid,
I received feedback for Symphony...
We ran through some tests and we all love the way that it is designed now. It is so streamlined.
We have some feedback below:
1. On smaller windows or when viewed on a laptop, the scroll bar is hidden, and we are unable to scroll down to view the 3 buttons (see screen shot 1)
2. Clicking the SSO button freezes the enrollment and I’m unable to move forward or back
3. Once on the page, we feel that the user shouldn’t have the option to “continue” without submitting the SSO as that leaves room for the user skipping this step, so we think that the “continue” button should not be an option. Is this possible?
4. Would it be possible to be able to track what is submitted in the enrollment history?
5. While still in the flow, I get to the CIGNA EOI page, and click on back to waive the EE voluntary life, when I get to the SSO page, the SSO page doesn’t update and still shows the original amounts I selected even though I’m no longer enrolled in benefits
Screenshot pertaining to #1...
Please provide your responses at your earliest convenience.
Thanks,
Chris
Please see my inline comments.
1. On smaller windows or when viewed on a laptop, the scroll bar is hidden, and we are unable to scroll down to view the 3 buttons (see screen shot 1)
Santosh: Ok, I will check into this UI issue and will fix it.
2. Clicking the SSO button freezes the enrollment and I’m unable to move forward or back
Santosh: You mean CIGNA SSO button , if yes then this is the expected behavior, because sso page url gets open into new window, so to move forward or back in workflow, employee needs to close that new window once he/she done with sso process.
3. Once on the page, we feel that the user shouldn’t have the option to “continue” without submitting the SSO as that leaves room for the user skipping this step, so we think that the “continue” button should not be an option. Is this possible?
Santosh: Yes , this is good suggestion and it is possible. On EOI page load we will show him only CIGNA SSO and Back button, once employee clicks CIGNA SSO then we will enable/show the Continue button so that employee can proceed to see next pages in workflow.
4. Would it be possible to be able to track what is submitted in the enrollment history?
Santosh: I think it is not required , because in next page in workflow i.e in "Confirmation Statement" employee can see all his/her enrollment details including CIGNA EOI benefits, still if you wish to have this available on same Then we can add one more column and show status there as "Submitted to CIGNA" or "Pending EOI" like that. please suggest.
5. While still in the flow, I get to the CIGNA EOI page, and click on back to waive the EE voluntary life, when I get to the SSO page, the SSO page doesn’t update and still shows the original amounts I selected even though I’m no longer enrolled in benefits
Santosh: If I understood you correctly then " Once employee reaches to the "PENDING CIGNA EOI BENEFITS" page and if he/she wish to waive some of the benefits , then by going backward to the respective benefit pages by clicking on Back button employee can do that , and in the same fashion employee needs to again reach to "PENDING CIGNA EOI BENEFITS" page, by clicking on "Continue" button from respective pages, so that employee will be able to view only enrolled benefits and not waived benefits. "
But what I remember is this is the way it is working now, but will look into it again while implementing rest suggestions and will check and fix it, *if it is not behaving as mentioned above *
Chris Ellenberger , I can release above suggestions on stage till 2/21.
Please let me know if any concern.

Santosh

Hi Santosh Balid,
Here are replies to your responses:
1. On smaller windows or when viewed on a laptop, the scroll bar is hidden, and we are unable to scroll down to view the 3 buttons (see screen shot 1)
Santosh: Ok, I will check into this UI issue and will fix it.
Ok, thank you

To provide some clarity on the request, we understand that the current benefits and elected (pending) benefits will appear on the confirmation statement, so we are not requesting any change on the confirmation statement. We were asking if tracking could be made in the view history on the enrollment to identify if the SSO was submitted.
5. While still in the flow, I get to the CIGNA EOI page, and click on back to waive the EE voluntary life, when I get to the SSO page, the SSO page doesn’t update and still shows the original amounts I selected even though I’m no longer enrolled in benefits

"
Yes, your understanding is correct. I just wanted to ensure that if the employee goes back in the same session and changes what they originally elected, that the Pending CIGNA EOI benefits page correctly captures what they most recently elected.
Thanks,
Chris
We are done with the implementation, code is sent for review and will deploy it on stage on 2/24.
Here are replies to your responses:
1. On smaller windows or when viewed on a laptop, the scroll bar is hidden, and we are unable to scroll down to view the 3 buttons (see screen shot 1)
Santosh: Ok, I will check into this UI issue and will fix it.
Ok, thank you
Santosh: This is fixed now.
Ok, in stage, should we expect the SSO page to pop up, or will that only occur in Production?
Santosh: Yes, Stage and Production behavior is same . Now I have handled such way that once employee clicks on "CIGNA SSO" two activities will happen in parallel, i.e employee will automatically get navigated to next page in workflow and SSO activity will happen in new window. So once employee clicks on "CIGNA SSO" button he/she will not see the "SSO Pending EOI Details" page again even after successful SSO and after closing the new SSO window.
Thank you
Santosh: Here we made improvement and now we are not showing Continue button anymore. Once employee clicks on "CIGNA SSO" button as described above he/she will automatically redirected to next page in workflow .
To provide some clarity on the request, we understand that the current benefits and elected (pending) benefits will appear on the confirmation statement, so we are not requesting any change on the confirmation statement. We were asking if tracking could be made in the view history on the enrollment to identify if the SSO was submitted.
Santosh: I think no need to have separate page for maintaing SSO submission history as this will again create lot more scenarios which will be more complicated. Here is my explanation why it is not required.
As per the new implementation, either employee can submit all his/her EOI enrollments to CIGNA in case of success or none of them will get submitted in case of any failure . This will be like a transaction, either whole will be successful or all get failure.
In case of any failure we will revert all of his/her EOI submission to CIGNA and employee will able to see below alert message.
Yes, your understanding is correct. I just wanted to ensure that if the employee goes back in the same session and changes what they originally elected, that the Pending CIGNA EOI benefits page correctly captures what they most recently elected.
Santosh: This is as per your expectation from beginning, I don't see problem in this.
Apart from this , We made the Instruction shown on "SSO Pending EOI Details" page as configurable, So using form builder you can configure them as per your expectation.
We will update you once we deploy this on stage tomorrow.
