We cross-checked this issue and below are our findings:

We tested the scenarios for EE Michael Funk
As per the settings in the Universal Insurance Plan;
“Coverage amount determined” by is selected as “salary multiple” and “multiple value” is “1.5” refer below screen shot.

Now as per the salary of EE Michael Funk, refer below screen shot

To note: benefit salary will be considered as the settings in plan>> cost and coverage>> consider benefit salary flag is selected as “Yes”

Benefit salary = 1, 30,500
Therefore as per setting in the plan under cost and coverage
Multiple value = 1.5, therefore as per the rules,
1.5 × 1, 30,500 = 1, 95,750
As per the rounding rules the coverage should show 1, 96,000
However on enroll now screen the coverage amount is showing something different 1, 45,750, refer below screen shot

To note: even if we ignore coverage amount, the rounding rule is selected as “round up to nearest” by “1000” these rule does not apply we also cross-checked by changing multiple values like 2,3,4,5 etc

If we change multiple value even then the coverage does not change on EE enroll now screen.

We have checked all the plan level setting and found nothing, we also cross-checked this issue for some random EEs.

Please find 3Cs below :

NOTE : In Quincy, this flag is set only on 'Universal Life Insurance'. For a quick fix we have done code change for "Salary Multiple" only. We will do code fix as well as impact testing for other coverage amount types (like- Range Flat Amount and etc) on Monday.

As per current customization 'Consider Benefit Salary' flag on Cost and Coverage of a plan has been set to 'Yes' and Benefit Salary in Employee Payroll for 'MICHAEL W FUNK' is not provided. Hence it is showing zero coverage on Enroll Now Page. Please find attached screenshots for the same

We have checked in HSPL copy that, after providing Benefit Salary, system is showing proper coverage.

We have cross-checked this issue its working as expected also we tested this scenarios for some random EEs,
1. In plan “Universal Insurance Plan” consider benefit salary flag is selected as “Yes”. Therefore it will consider benefit salary of EE.
2. In Plan design>> Eligibility rule>> contingency settings, here as per the rule this “Universal Insurance Plan” is eligible to EE only if he is enrolled in “grandfather executive life insurance”.
We can also see the flag “limit available coverage by elected amount in contingent plan” is set as “Yes”, refer below screen shot.

Which means if you look at the grandfather plan, refer screen shot, coverage elected is 50,000.

Now as per the EE Michael Funk benefit salary, refer figure below

EE Michael Funk benefit salary is 1,30,500, and in grandfather plan his coverage is elected as 50,000.

Therefore as per the calculation,
1.5 (as per settings for salary multiple in plan design) ** 1,30,500 = 1,95,750*

Now from 1, 95,750 we will minus 50,000 coverage of grand father (as per the contigency setting refer figure above in this comment) therefore the amount is 1, 45,750

As per rounding rules in plan design>> cost and coverage we can see the round up value by 1000 i.e. 1, 46,000 on confirmation statement of an EE. refer figure below.

The system is working fine as expected, please check and verify at your end. Thank you!

Reopen this to implement code for round up Coverage Amounts for other customization like Range Flat Amount, Range salary multiple and Range % of monthly salary on cost and coverage page.

As per our discussion I have tested the below mention scenarios for rounding up the coverage for the following

• Offered – flat and salary multiple
• Range flat amount
• Salary multiple
• Range salary multiple
• Percentage of salary
• Percentage of monthly salary
• Percentage of weekly salary
• Percentage of EE semi-monthly(24) salary
• Percentage of EE per pay period salary
• Range percentage of monthly salary

The system is behaving as expected, no issues found for rounding Up coverage when selected "Yes, Round up to nearest " . This is ready for stage.
(To note: Company tested this scenario on LB : Long)

We tested this issue on stage for EE 'Michael Funk'

Tested following option to determine the coverage amounts.

Offered Amount - Flat amount
Offered Amount - Salary multiple
Range Flat amount
Salary Multiple
Range Salary Multiple
Percentage of Salary
Percentage of Monthly Salary
Percentage of weekly Salary
Percentage of Semi monthly salary24
Percentage of employee Per pay period salary
Range percentage of monthly salary

Out of these the amount is not getting rounded for 'Offered Amount - Salary multiple' when the flag 'Limit Available Coverage By Elected Amount In Contingent Plan' on eligibility rules tab is set to 'Yes'. If this flag is set to 'No' the amount is getting rounded as expected.
(Please refer the below screen shot )

Another issue faced my us while testing was when we were trying to test the last option 'Range percentage of monthly salary'

After selecting this option the flag 'Allow Salary Displayed On Enroll Now Screen' was automatically getting set as 'No' even after saving the page with the flag value as 'Yes'

On enroll now screen we were not able to test whether the amount is rounded or not
