      Description

COSB dental is required if they enroll in medical. We have the Dental contingency rule set to "eligible if enrolled in the Medical benefit type" and the benefit type set to required.

We can not set the contingency rule to required because there is more than on medical plan.

The issue that we are having is that if an employee changes their medical plan the system terminates their dental. It does not give you a pop up or anything that warns the employee that the dental has been dropped.

This group goes live on Monday and I need help with this asap

            Debbie Kulling

There is an issue with benefit level contingency.

Work around: As of now, I have added contingency at plan level and its working fine.

For “Delta Care USA DHMO” and “Delta Dental SF PPO” I have selected following plans on plan level contingency

            Kaiser Low HMO
            Blue Shield PPO
            Blue Shield EPO Low
            Blue Shield EPO High
            Blue Shield HDHP
            Kaiser High HMO
            Blue Shield HDHP II

            We are looking into Issue.

This workaround fixed the issue. Please let me know when the overall issue is fix. I am worried that groups that have eligibility set up this way are having benefits terminate without realizing it.

            Hi Debbie Kulling,

Concern: Contingency Issue: If an employee changes their medical plan the system terminates their dental. It does not give you a pop up or anything that warns the employee that the dental has been dropped.

Cause: There was one wrong condition in code of contingency due to which given issue occurred.

Correction: We have fixed code for this.

            Hello Jyoti Mayne Rohit Shete

Concern - If an employee changes their medical plan the system terminates their dental plan as never effective.

            We have executed below scenario

            1. Contingency only on benefit type
            2. Contingency on benefit type and benefit plan
            3. Contingency only on benefit plan

observed that it did not terminate dental plan as never effective . Hence marking ready for stage

            Thanks,
            Mahendra
