This is scenario specific issue.

In employee demographics page, 'Occupation/Job Title' filed contain special character '&'. for these reason EE cannot continue past the demographic page.

Can we replace this special character with 'and' keyword?.

Will have to check through import and UI both with all possible scenarios.

Verified on Production - > Barrow for hspl
Below are my Observations

1)Verified through UI -> Added employee in system with Occupation/Job Title with "&" -> System shows validation message
2)Verified through Import -> Imported employee with Occupation/Job title with "&" -> Import done successfully
3)Logged in with imported employee -> Traverse to demographics page -> Click on continue -> Nothing happens on continue
This issue occurred due to WT-9461

Hello Jayshree Nagpure,

Concern: Barrow - Cannot proceed past Demographic page.
Cause: This issue was caused due to special characters restricted in Additional TextBox and Additional TextArea. Please refer WT-9461.
Correction: Reverted WT-9461 patch for special characters.

Impacted Areas: AdditionalTextBox, AdditionalTextArea.
Affected files: CommonClass.cs

Verified below scenario :
1.Special characters < > & | - Not allowing for text box
2. PIPE | and Tild ~ characters not save, it throws server error for PIPE | and Tild ~ will not save for TextArea
3.Through import - Allowing all characters except ; xp_ '
4.Employee workflow went fine, but in import when & is given - Import is done propely, but when we traverse workflow system shows validation for &
5. EE workflow went fine when other special characters are added in User defined field with import and UI.
6.For TextArea - Allowing all special character through UI except Pipe and tild

Marking item state as Ready for Stage.
