      Description

      Debbie –

We have another Age issue. We decided to go into our other groups and do some testing based on the Quincy age issues. Below is a Production Group: TIBCO and an example of how the system appears to work in one instance, but not another. We REALLY need to get closure on this. How are the plan and rate prompts supposed to be answered so that we do not continue to have these age issues.

      Example: Production TIBCO

Rate: Age or years of service as of January 1 Current Year
Plan: Specific Date Selection: Next Year

Both of these employee had an age change that would affect their 1/1/2018 premiums. One worked with the above rules set and one did not. Again, doesn’t seem to matter how these rules are set, they do NOT consistently work. Again, please provide us with the EXACT way age plans should be set up and we will build them accordingly.

      Employee: Ali Ahmed
      DOB: 11/5/1967

Current Enrollment for 2017 is correct: $257,250 of coverage and his semi-monthly premium is $34.73. The rate is $.27

Future Enrollment for 1/1/2018 is NOT correct: $335,500 of coverage and his semi-monthly rate is showing as $45.29 and it should be $77.17. The 50 age bracket rate is$.46. The rate did not increase an age bracket from 49 to 50. It is still billing him at his current age of 49 at the $.27 rate.

      Employee: Andrew Kass
      DOB: 10/6/1972

Current Enrollment for 2017 is correct: $339,000 of coverage and his semi-monthly premium is $30.51. The rate is $.18.

Future Enrollment for 1/1/2018 is ALSO correct: $349,848 and his semi-monthly premium is $47.23. The rate is $.27

So, we have two scenarios that are exactly the same wherein an age change has occurred in the current year and the system, for the current year, correctly calculates the premium. However, for the 2018 benefit year – one worked and one didn’t?????? HELP .
