Write the trigger for new enrollments deduction code . Also when we complete writing the trigger we should make sure that we do reallocation that time again.

Adding a few questions because there is no description for this ticket. Vinayak Kulkarni can you please respond?

        1. Will this change be generic - or will it be for this specific company?
        2. Will this change be for specific plans? Which ones?
        3. The trigger will look for "covered members" and based on that populate "health tier" on the enrollment. Can you please briefly describe the logic and the coverage code values?

        Thanks

Abhay Patil Answers to your questions below:

        1. Will this change be generic - or will it be for this specific company? - This is for specific company
        2. Will this change be for specific plans? Which ones? - Yes, Accident and Critical Illness
        3. The trigger will look for "covered members" and based on that populate "health tier" on the enrollment. Can you please briefly describe the logic and the coverage code values? - I didn't get this question. These enrollments are being made on Carrier platform and we fetch them using APIs (SSO). The APIs didnt send the health tier associated with the enrollment (e.g. EE, EE+SP, EE+CH etc.) due to which we have to enter this Health Tier manually in our system because the payroll deduction codes are based on Health Tiers.

Hi Amit Thorve , Abhay & I had discussion on this. So for last question I explained that we do not have health-tiers allocated for these two mentioned plan enrollments and his question is how do we allocate health-tiers then.

Logic: we fetch list of enrollments that dot not have health-tier allocated for these plan and we check each how many members are covered under each enrollment, depending upon number of members covered we update health-tier of a enrollment.

So we know on this company, what is employee only health-tier value is ( that's 6 ) so we update it at back-end for all enrollment with employee only as covered member and so on. Thanks.

Amit Thorve, can you please add response (email) from Jennifer Reed/ Nagini Indugula to this ticket?

As for the right fix, we should ensure that SSO/API gets treated like import. In the case of import too we do not get the health tier, and it is derived from the enrollments. Of course, there is added complexity here that this is a user defined benefit and we don't have the knowledge of it being a medical type of benefit. Calls for more detailed discussion. Here is the reply from Nagini Indugula

Amit – We cannot just write code as a trigger for this one client. Not a good dev practice to write exceptions for one client.

We will need to code so all User Defined Plans save Health tier data. Today we don’t save health tier data on user defined plans. Are Accident and Critical Illness plan usually coded using the User Defined type?
Doing it as a standard on all User Defined plans takes time and we are not able to fit it in this sprint as we are taking up high priority bugs.

        Thanks
        Nagini
