Hi,
Per the client:
I am having an issue with the Divorce QE terminating the Dependent Life and Personal Accident AD&D incorrectly.
1. I initiate the Divorce QE and enter the QE date 11/28/17 (thus terming plans 11/30/17)
2. I change the Marital Status of the EE from Married to Divorced
3. When I go to the confirm statement all of my plans are terming correctly with the 11/30/17 date except the Dependent Life and Personal Accident AD&D plan.
a. These plans are terming 12/31/17.
4. My Global Termination rule is set to End of Month
a. All plans follow the global rule
b. I did not set a different termination rule on the individual plans as they follow the global rule
i. I did try testing to see if I set the termination rule at the plan level to end of the month if the plans would then term 11/30. That did not work either. I have returned the termination rule on the individual plans back to --Select—so the plan should follow the global rule again.
I’ve attached the Confirmation Statement of one of my test people, but you can use any of the test people with the first name of Divorce, they are all returning the same error.
Could you please help me figure out why these two plans are terming end of the following month instead at end of the month?
I didn't not see this group name in the company drop down list.
Thank you,
Kira Hamilton

hi Kira Hamilton,
1. Dependent Life and Personal Accident AD&D plan are eligible for relationship Spouse. when you change status of employee from married to Divorced, spouse relationship got changed from spouse to ex-spouse. This change is effective from 01/01/2017 and by 'end of the month' rule these plans got terminated with termination date 12/31/2017.
2. Rest of the plans are health plans. For health plans (medical, dental, Vision) when there is loss of coverage for dependent, system enrolls remaining enrolled members to new enrollment from change effective date (which is 01/01/2017 in our case) and terminates old enrollment with a day prior (i.e. 11/30/2017).
This behavior is as per expectations. Please let us know if you need more information.
