the Employee and Spouse Voluntary AD&D is contingent on the Employee/Spouse Voluntary Life. Currently the age update rule on the life is 1st of the month following age change but the AD&D is set to "effective on Birthdate" The AD&D is not age banded.
Since development has changed settings on the plans for BCC I just want to confirm my questions below:
1. Even though the AD&D plan is not age banded should the setting match because the AD&D plan is contingent?
2. Would the different setting have had any impact?

We discussed this issue with Development team and below are our observations:
Query 1: Even though the AD&D plan is not age banded should the setting match because the AD&D plan is contingent?
-For the plans “Employee and Spouse Voluntary AD&D” there is coverage contingency and as this plan is not age banded so whatever setting is there on rule will not matter.
Query 1: Would the different setting have had any impact?
-No it will not have any impact on any settings.
