I’m going to need some help with this group as I’m extremely uncomfortable changing any of the plan rules. Their HSA plans were not working and Dave had Development do a full regression testing on both Softchoice and JE Dunn. Development set up the HSA plans so that they were working, but now there need to be some changes to the plans they are contingent on and so I do not want to make waves on the HSA plans.
There is also a ticket for issues with QEs leading to terminated benefits. WT-7182 explains that if someone is enrolled in an HSA for both 2016 and 2017 and they had a 2016 QE, it dropped the 2017 HSA. This is noted for JE Dunn in the ticket and I’ve asked them to review Softchoice for the same issues, as they have brought up a couple of problems with QEs that may or may not be related.

Health Plan / Dental Plan
If an employee does not make elections, they should get the employee only tier.
Currently: set up to not allow waiving and set to mandate coverage based on family demographics. UPDATE: THE EMPLOYEE SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO WAIVE COVERAGE. DENTAL SHOULD DEFAULT TO EMPLOYEE ONLY TIER BUT SHOULD BE ABLE TO BE WAIVED. HSA AMOUNT SHOULD BE BASED ON MEDICAL TIER.
HSA Plan
On January 1 of each year, employees with Health Plan are given a fresh amount for annual use:
• Employee only with Dental- $285
• Employee only without Dental- $435
• Family with Dental- $570
• Family without Dental- $870
New hires throughout the year are pro-rated. Employees moving from one of these levels into another throughout the year are prorated. Only annual amounts should be shown-- not per pay period or monthly.
