Hi Amanda B. Garvey,

Mentioned employee has already raised one QE 'Employee-Child Birth-Adoption-Legal Guardianship' with effective date '12/06/2016'.
As mentioned by you previously ,date of birth is '12/16/2016'.So it is not allowing to add child.

As DOB and effective is same ,now you can easily add child for mentioned employee.No need to delete the QE.

Please let me know if you face any issue.

Hi, Sheetal -

1) We at Workterra do NOT have the authority to delete a Qualifying Event. Please delete it for me so that I can complete the correction steps you provided.
2) I cannot access the Child screen for employee Cassandra Garrison. See attachment showing ERROR.

Also, please note that the child's correct date of birth is 12/06/2016 (NOT 12/16/2016).

Hi Amanda B. Garvey,

As mentioned above,Effective date of employee is less than child birth date,so system is not allowing to add child for '12/16/2016'.This is as per system behaviour.

If you want to add child for date '12/16/2016',we have to follow below steps,
1)First delete existing event and raise new child birth event of birth date(i.e raise QE of 12/16/2016)
or
2)You can convey employee to go through self serve mode and add child. As in self serve mode,employee will get respective QE effective date and system will allow them to do changes accordingly.In this case,employee will get 2 work flows.Employee will able to add child in second workflow.

Please let me your inputs on this.

While testing ,we found one issue,that is resolved now.Please refer linked JIRA ticket WT-7861 for more reference.
