      Description

      Hello,

I am trying to make changes to existing Health Tier Mapping values and add new mappings, but i am getting the attached error stating Form Description Format Invalid. I originally added these mapping and the format was accepted then, but not now. Please see attached screenshot.

Plan i am adjusting is called "Delta Dental - COBRA-Dental-Delta Dental", but i suspect this error will occur on every SCCSIG client build because the format of these values are the same across all SCCSIG clients.

Need this issue resolved so i can move forward with my adjustments.

      Thanks,
      Chris

            Hi Chris Ellenberger,

Please find below our analysis details below.

Concern Issue with Adding or Changing Health Tier Mapping Value
Cause Earlier, there were no restriction for special characters for policy number. Later, to resolve the discrepancy in storing policy number due to special character, validation for special characters needed to add for policy number which results in restricting underscore ('_') character now (Please find more details in WT-6901).
Hence, it is showing alert of incorrect form description format.
Correction We have made code change to allow underscore ('_') symbol and it is under testing. It will be moved to production once it is being tested.

            NOTE : Allowed special Character are - [ ^ < > ' \ " = + $ ~ @ @ % * ( ) ! ? \ ] $. Please let us know if you want more special characters to be allowed for policy number

            Thanks and Regards,
            :: Umesh Kadam

            Hello Umesh Kadam,

We started testing this on Wt Stage.
Out of all the allowed special characters mentioned by you in earlier comment, system is still throwing format validation error for many of the like !-'"$=~%

[ specially as per the client;s screenshot we have to allow - character ]

Please go through all the mentioned special characters - and make them allowed to put in the health tier policy name

            Hi Alankar Chavan,

My bad, I wrongly put all symbols together.

            For Policy Number, alphanumeric letters (a-z, A-Z, 0-9) with white space and only few special characters like - Plus ( + ), Hypen ( - ) , Rounded Brackets ( ( ) ), Forward Slash ( / ) and Underscore (_) are allowed.

            Thanks and Regards,

            Hello Umesh Kadam,

We have tested this on WT Stage - 19th Jan 2016

            Now you can put down the policy nos which has special characters like* Plus ( + ), Hypen ( - ) , Rounded Brackets ( ( ) ), Forward Slash ( / ) and Underscore (_)*

We have verified the policy nos are appearing properly on SA utility for respective election entries

We have also exported the respective data and verified - are the policy nos coming properly on file - this worked as expected

            Ready for Stage and Production

            Hello Chris Ellenberger

We have deployed and tested the fix on Production

            Now you can put down the policy nos which has alphanumeric letters (a-z, A-Z, 0-9) with white space special characters like * Plus ( + ), Hypen ( - ) , Rounded Brackets ( ( ) ), Forward Slash ( / ) and Underscore (_)*

We have also exported the respective data and verified - are the policy nos coming properly on file - this worked as expected

[ Note - while editing the policy nos, system might not allow you to keep the special characters in mapping name. In that case kindly remove the special characters from the names. If you want us to remove those validations also - do let us know on this. We can create a separate JIRA for the same and make the changes]

Please review this at your end - and if its working as per your expectations, you may close this JIRA
