      Description

      Hello,
Is there a way to set up the termination file to look at terminating the EAP benefit first, then look to the other benefits. Since the EAP is contingent on medical we cannot get the EAP termination rules to work correctly.

Let me know when you have a chance.

      Thanks
      Kevin

          Hi Kevin,

We are little confused over here so we need more information on this. Can you let us know exactly where are you referring at? import termination file or export termination file by "termination file".

If you are referring to export termination file then we can not achieve given requirement as export file will populate data that is currently present in system, we can not have such logic on export file. Please confirm?

          Hello Vinayak Kulkarni.

The issue we are having is when City of Durham sends a file with termination details for an employee. They send us the termination date and it is applied in Workterra. The medical termination rule is end of month and the termination rule for EAP is 6 months after termination date. Because the EAP is contingent on the medical plan when the medical plan is terminated, the termination rule for the EAP is not working. We need the EAP plan to always get terminated per the plan rule and the medical plan terminate per the plan rule.

I hope this helps clear things up a little. If not, we may need to get on a call.

          Thanks
          Kevin

          Hi Kevin Walker,

When we terminate any plan the forced contingent plan is also getting terminated with same date. Even if we terminate EAP plan first and them terminate the medical or employee, it will again terminate the EAP plan with medical plan.
          This is wrong customization.

          Thanks Jaideep Vinchurkar.

Is there any way to get this to work based on the current system limitations or will it take special customization?

          Thanks Again,
          Kevin
