      Description

      Wacker Neuson Corporation For HSPL

      Consider the below scenario -

      • Plan - E1 (Life Plan)
      • Rate - ER1 [having two sub rates, SR1 has additional eligibility spouse not enrolled in plan ABC & SR2 has additional eligibility spouse enrolled in plan ABC]
      • employee has spouse. employee enrolled in E1 eff from 03/01/2017. As, spouse is not enrolled in plan ABC, employee got sub rate SR1 which is right
      • employee initiated a QE eff from 01/01/2017 - makes his spouse enrollment in ABC plan
      • ideally though this QE 04/01/2017 - when I am going on enrollment screen of employee life plan E1 - system should automatically show me the rate as SR2, As, spouse is not enrolled in plan ABC.
      • The cost shown here is still SR1. If I change the coverage or waive the plan and enroll again - system start showing the rate as SR2

          Hi Alankar Chavan,

Please find details of our analysis :

As discussed, if you are changing coverage or health tier from enroll now screen, system allocates rates only for elections in same benefit type or forced contingent plans and it will not change rates for elections in another benefit type. Please note, system will shows correct rate amount for on-fly rate calculation.

In this case after Employee Data Change, system is allocating proper rate. Please check and confirm.

          Thanks and Regards,
          :: Umesh Kadam

If the system is allowing user to use spouse enrolled in macro on a rate which is for employee election then this should work. We need to fix this. This is a bug. This is not on high priority right now but this is an issue.

          Hello Umesh Kadam,

As stated above, we should fix the mentioned behavior in the system.
As soon as employee becomes eligible / in-eligible to any benefit - rates should change accordingly (with EDS as well as enroll now changes)

We also tried testing the above scenario with EDS change - it did not work either

My spouse enrolled in ABC plan eff from 04/01/2017 - I made an demographics change eff from 03/01/2017 still the Rate Costs did not change automatically. I had to change the coverage or waived the benefit type in order to see the updated costs !
