Hi Prasad Pise,

Please find below 3C's:

Concern: Overlapping age bands are getting added in to the system with rate import functionality

Cause: Code was not present to handle this scenario.

Implementation:

If there is overlap age band in any of sub rate, we will skip that sub rate (sub rate will not get updated) and will update remaining sub rate if those are in proper format.

If there are more than one sub rate are present in file and overlapping age band is present for multiple sub rates then in this case we will show overlapped age band error message for first occurrence of sub rate.

For Example, In given file, if there are 5 sub rates and overlapping age band present for 2nd and 5th sub rate, in this case we will not save sub rate details for 2nd and 5th sub rate but 1st, 3rd and 4th sub rate will get updated.
Here error message will be shown only for 2nd sub rate.

Impact Testing:
1. Import single sub rate
2. Import Multiple sub rate

This issue was created for Insert functionality - new rates are getting imported successfully but with overlap age bands

As per the discussion - we will solve this issue for add new as well as update functionality

We considered only Update Rate functionality for overlapping age band issue since Add Rate was not in scope at that time.
Please create new jira for Add Rate issue and continue testing for overlapping age band for Update Rate.

Rate: 2017 Voluntary Employee Life
Login: Partner

Steps:
Partner Login > Rates > 2017 Voluntary Employee Life > Import > Create Row with overlapped age bands > Save

Rates > Update Rate > Browse, Upload and Import > Overlapping error is handled with approprate message.

Screen capture for the same is attached with jira.

If proper age bands are added then Imported the same file > Rate was properly Imported.
Both scenarios worked as expected. So, moving closing jira on production.
