      Description

      Overview:
      A user to be notified that an email OR text message did not go through due to a service interruption.

      Entry:

      • User sends email or text message.

      Acceptance Criteria:
      *IF I send an email and a service interruption happens causing the email not to send, I am notified that the email did not go through (either via pop-up immediately or through email).
      *IF I send a text message and a service interruption happens causing the text not to send, I am notified that the text did not go through (either via pop-up immediately or through email).
      *IF a service interruption happens when sending a text and email and the message does not go through, this is also reflected in the communication history that it bounced, and reasoning.

      Exit:
      *User gets notification that the email/text did not go through due to a service interruption.

      Prerequisites:
      *User is a current user of DMS or consuming application.

          Mohd Belal Both - if something has interrupted the email from being sent, and therefore we could not send it, we need to let the user know that it was not sent due to a service interruption.

          Hi Harshveer Singh: Have you check the feasibility for showing the reason. What will be the reason we need to display for Service Interruption. Kindly provide me 2-3 example of messages so that I can create the mockup.

          Hi Aruna Raheja, we won't be able to show message reason for message failure as immediate action is to queue message to be sent. If message failed for any reason, email can be triggered for that and also can be displayed in history. Reason for failure can be anything from - Service not available, invalid email/mobile number, internal errors. Reason text will be provided by service provider or our application, we will display that reason test as is. Text can be anything like "Invalid mobile number" or "Service not available" or "Error occurred while sending text: <reason>".

          Just to make sure I am following - we are triggering this email if there was an error? Is this an option clients can choose to have on or off? Because within the system, they can already see if there was an error and the reason, right?

          Hi Molly Ronovsky: Yes this emailer will trigger only if there is an error. These errors will be thrown by the service provider and in history, we have the option to check the bounced email or SMS with reason.

          Harshveer Singh Aruna Raheja I'm thinking within the preference center they would be able to turn them on / off if they want to receive by email. Not something we need to do immediately but something to consider so that users who do not want to get the emails can turn them off.
