ISSUE 1: Child optional life in both Softchoice and Softchoice OE Test are showing no election for open enrollment, yet they have elections under the current plan.
ISSUE 2: Employee optional life in Softchoice OE test (not sure about other) is not recalced despite recalcing yesterday: From client- "when I originally landed on the Optional Life enrollment for Francis Li it was showing the wrong rate ($48 I think), then I ‘refreshed’ it by selecting the tobacco affidavit and it corrected to the proper rate."
Please correct ASAP. Also, since we've now recalced several times, how can we be assured that this will stick through the enrollment?

ISSUE 1: Confirmed via issue log that client would like both the child life and child critical illness based on child enrollment and all children need to elect the same amount. Please correct in OE test and in prod.
Please phone me and let me know how I can help make these changes. Amruta Lohiya I know you said you would be able to do this, but if I need to help, please let me know.
Hi Deborah Mascot,
Plan changes and rate recalculation are done on both OE test and Softchoice.. Please confirm
Hi Deborah Mascot,
Reason for 'Child Optional Life' is below:
Concern:
Coverage not displayed selected in Child Optional Life enrollment.
Cause:
For Child Optional Life - plan as per previous customization - employee was shown in coverage. However there should be Child enrolled in Child Optional Life. The test employees which were selected Employee coverage in this plan needed to change it to Child coverage. This issue exists only on 'Softchoice OE Testing' company for Test employees, not on Softchoice main company at production. Please find below screenshot for Rate correctly allocated in main company:
Correction:
As of now for two mentioned employees "Linda Millage" and "Elsie Nebroski", we have corrected on Softchoice OE Testing company. This is displaying correct coverage now.
For any other test employees on Softchoice if you face this issue again, please waive & save enrollment to display coverage. This will not be issue on Softchoice main company.

Satya Prakash

Another issue found. Current settings have a combined $10,000 maximum for the Long Term Disability - Canada plan and the LTD Top-Up plan. It doesn't appear to consistently work. Please see the following employees for examples: Valerie Blanchard, Jessie Agnew.
Hi Deborah Mascot,
For LTD and LTD Top-up combined coverage increase we observed that there was an issue with Import in which the max combined coverage was not getting validated.
There are total 19 such employees. We have corrected coverage for these employees on Softchoice OE Test and Softchoice main company at production.
Regards,
Satya Prakash.
Is this all completely done and recalced --ready for testing on OE test ?
I don't see that this one has been corrected from the above:

1. AD&D- giving 2 options- $1,000 (which would be the minimum rounded up) AND the correct option of 1x earnings. Rate is also not correct if it were 1k as shown on the confirmation statement.
2. 2. Enroll Now through the Admin is showing different options in stage than in oe test:
SatyaSamirAmruta LohiyaRakesh Roy
#2 – Customization was not selected for ‘Benefit Types’ list box at Company Information -> Employee data screen tab. We have selected it on Stage also now.
Both are in sync now.
They wanted it how it was in Stage with the employer-paid benefits only showing on the confirmation statement. The following should show:
Health, Dental, LTD Top-up, GSI LTD (if applicable), Supplemental Life, Employee Optional Life, Spouse Optional Life (if applicable), Child Optional Life (if applicable), Employee Critical illness, Spouse Critical Illness (if applicable), Child Critical Illness (if applicable).
Details for #1:
Concern:
AD&D- giving 2 options- $1,000 (which would be the minimum rounded up) AND the correct option of 1x earnings
Cause:
Employees who were imported to system without Gross annual salary and Benefit Salary, for them there was default $1000 minimum coverage applied in system, however after importing correct salary and Benefit salary their coverage was not switched to 1X. As a result, both options were visible in AD&D coverage. This scenario has been identified in Import and we will schedule its fix.
Correction
We observed there were 25 such employees and their data has been corrected on Softchoice OE Test & Softchoice main company at production.
Hi Deborah Mascot,
As per our discussion in call with Samir, please update benefits in Employee Data Screen on Stage and Production.
Thank,
Vijayendra

10 employees were not having correct salary index updated, we have corrected theses records. These records were from 02/16. We have scanned all enrollments for AD&D, Supp life and Basic Life no other records were identified.
As of now the salary index is getting correctly updated

THE ISSUE WITH THE LTD AND LTD TOP-UP HAS RESURFACED. The below people have over $10,000 of combined amounts for LTD and LTD Top Up. This is a huge problem and the client wants to know how this broke again (for the third time) after being told it was corrected. Above it was an issue with the import. Please advise and correct asap.

Please note we need to know when this broke for each person and the premium difference. We need to process refunds and get them corrected asap. Before Thursday, as that is payroll.
Hi Deborah Mascot,
During initial analysis we have found that, while updating salary, system is not considering limit set in "Maximum Contingent Coverage Total" is not getting considered. We are working on fixing this issue.
We have analysed coverage for given employees and found that following employee have elections in 'Long Term Disability - Canada' with maximum coverage i.e. $10000 hence for 'LTD Top-up' election coverage will be $0 which is not acceptable.
Do you want us to terminated elections in 'LTD Top-up' plan of following employees? If not then please provide coverage to update.
Please let us know your comments.

Please find attached Softchoice_LTD_Coverage_Corrections.xls . I have highlighted above given employees as they have election in 'Long Term Disability - Canada' with $10000 coverage ($10000 is maximum coverage)
Yes, all need to be corrected, but I do need a listing of when each "broke" and the old versus new premium. They need this along with the correction, as they have to do refunds at the same check as the change in premium.
Hi Deborah Mascot,
I have provided details in attached Softchoice_LTD_Coverage_Corrections.xls. This document contains details with 'Old Coverage in LTD Top-up' and 'Updated Coverage in LTD Top-up'. Is that fine?
Thanks and Regards,
:: Umesh Kadam
CC : Jyoti Mayne
Umesh Kadam No, this does not give me the dates that it should have changed and did not for each person.
Hi Deborah Mascot,
Please find attached Softchoice_LTD_Coverage_Corrections_Detailed.xls for details of LTD elections of given employees.
Regarding following 4 employees, they already have election in "Long Term Disability - Canada" with $10000 coverage which is maximum coverage limit set on Eligibility Rules of "LTD Top-up" plan. Due to this elections in "LTD Top-Up" plan will have $0 coverage. It is not correct.
FirstName | LastName |
---|---|
Sandra | Patulli |
Robert | Potter |
Alicia | Soltys |
Daniel | Fratnik |
Please advice if you want these elections to be termed (may as never effective) or do you want to update their coverage in "LTD Top-up" elections with $0.
We are working on actual cause and correction of this issue.
Thanks and Regards,

Hi Deborah Mascot,
Please find 3Cs below :
Concern | Employee(s) have over $10,000 of combined amounts for LTD and LTD Top Up after salary change. |
Cause | While updating salary, system is calculating new coverage of LTD Top-up by considering old LTD coverage. Because of this summation of new coverage in LTD and LTD Top-up is getting exceeded over $10000. E.g. Suppose employee had election in LTD with $7000 and in LTD top-up with $1500. Let's say after salary change LTD coverage maximized to $8000 then new LTD top-up coverage must be $2000. But system is allocating $3000 coverage to LTD top-up as $7000 (old coverage of LTD) was considered |
Correction | We have corrected code to consider latest coverage of LTD. We are doing impact testing of this code change as it needed code change in core routines of enrollment. |
Thanks and Regards,
:: Umesh Kadam

Hi Alankar Chavan,
Please find below impacted areas :
- Enroll Now Screen
- Salary change from Payroll Page
- Core Plan allocation scenarios for salary change
- Max Coverage limit scenarios (max limit, within limit) with flat amount and Times Annual Compensation
- Core/Non Core contingency on parent plan

We have identified an issue regarding this WT-9052
We have started testing this issue on Local.
Hello Umesh Kadam,
We tested this on WT Stage.
Consider Parent Plan - Q Life Plan
Contingent Plan - Q Life Child Plan
Here are the customization screens -
Following Scenarios worked as per the expectations
Scenario 1
Maximum Contingent Coverage Total - 450000 | 1.5
Emp added with Salary 500000
P auto enrollment with 50k
Available coverage in C plan - 400000 (500000 * 1.5 is 750000 > 4.5 lack)
Passed
Scenario 2
Maximum Contingent Coverage Total - 450000 | 1.5
Emp added with Salary 12 k
P auto enrollment with 50k
Available coverage in C plan - 00 (12 k * 1.5 is 18K < 4.5 lack)
Passed
Scenario 3
Maximum Contingent Coverage Total - 450000 | 1.5
Emp added with Salary 50k
P auto enrollment with 50k
Available coverage in C plan - 25k (50 k * 1.5 is 75K < 4.5 lack)
Passed
Scenario 4
Maximum Contingent Coverage Total - 450000 | 1.5
Emp added with Salary 500000
P auto enrollment with 50k
Available coverage in C plan - 400000 (500000 * 1.5 is 750000 > 4.5 lack)
Increased meployee salary to 6 Lacks
no effect on above enrollments and coverage
Following Scenario is not working as per the expectations
- employee added with salary 5 lacks
- employee enrolled automatically in P with 50k
- child plan got available to employee with coverage amount as 4 lacks
- employee enrolled in child plan with 4 lacks
everything worked as per the expectations till above
we changed employee's salary from 5 lacks to 2 lacks from payroll page
went on confirmation statement and observed below entries
1. enrollment in plan P with 50 k which is right
2. enrollment in plan C with 3 lacks (ideally it should have been 2.5 lacks) as 2.5 lacks + 50 k = 3 lacks (1.5 * employees salary ie, 2 lacks)

Hi Alankar Chavan,
As discussed Amruta Lohiya and also as per current implementation, the customization you have given for parent and child plan is not valid as parent pan is non salary based and child is salary based. Also none of the company is using this customization on live.
On Salary change, system considers elections of salary based plans only. Hence, if parent plan is not salary based then system will allocate coverage to child plan election as per customization set on child plan.
Also the scenario of decreasing employee's salary is very rare.
Thanks and Regards,
:: Umesh Kadam
CC : Amruta Lohiya, Jyoti Mayne
Hello Umesh Kadam,
Quincy is using the same customization.
Their parent plan (Grandfather Ex Life Insurance) is having offered amount of 50k and child plan (Universal Life Insurance) is salary based.
Please let us know in case we are going to fix this or else we can make it Ready for Stage
