      Description

      On the child life there is a problem with all clients with this type of coverage - If the coverage is per family - ie - you have 1 child and elect $10,000 in coverage the approved coverage amount on the bill should be $10,000, likewise if you have 3 children. But the report pulls $30,000. This amount is incorrect. In most cases, however the premium is correct, not in all but in most. if we could find a fix for this across the board that would be great.

            3C:

            Concern: Incorrect Approved Coverage Amount per Family.

            Cause: Use of Rate Calculated for This Plan As on Cost & Coverage page was not properly implemented in Report.

            Correction: Correction in Stored Procedure.

            Following are the 3Cs:
            Concern:
            1. Spouse coverage amount not getting covered for customization Family Rates - All Children
            2. Employee coverage amount not getting considered for Family Rates.

            Cause:
            #1.
            System was considering maximum coverage amount of all dependents. Instead system should have calculated the coverage amount like maximum Coverage Amount for elected children + Coverage Amount elected for Spouse
            #2.
            In Family rates scenario coverage as per maximum coverage amount was appearing. Instead when employee is elected in Spouse / Child plan, coverage elected for employee, should get considered separately.

            Correction:
            Changes done in stored procedures to handle both scenarios

            Impacted areas:

            Please note that we have not verified this change for Benefitwise Billing Report as this report is currently not in use.

            prasanna Prasanna Karlekar (Inactive) added a comment - Following are the 3Cs: Concern: 1. Spouse coverage amount not getting covered for customization Family Rates - All Children 2. Employee coverage amount not getting considered for Family Rates. Cause: #1. System was considering maximum coverage amount of all dependents. Instead system should have calculated the coverage amount like maximum Coverage Amount for elected children + Coverage Amount elected for Spouse #2. In Family rates scenario coverage as per maximum coverage amount was appearing. Instead when employee is elected in Spouse / Child plan, coverage elected for employee, should get considered separately.
